ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello. My name is Patricia Marroquin and I have been a journalist for more than 25 years. I have worked as an editor at such media companies as the San Jose Mercury News, the Dallas Morning News, the Los Angeles Times, the Ventura County Star and Hispanic Business Media. My most recent role was Senior Managing Editor of MotorHome magazine.
Photography is my passion. I have won awards for my photography, including from the National Park Service and the State Fair of Texas; and first, second and third place awards at the Ventura County Fair. In 2005, one of my images was named Ventura County Fair Directors' Choice.
I also won an award from the city of Ventura and have had my images published in photography books.
I live with my husband, George Foulsham, who is News Director in the Public Affairs Office at the University of California, Santa Barbara, our Golden retriever Bella and our miniature Australian shepherd Ginger in Oxnard, California.
